As announced today by the University of California, Santa Barbara, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has awarded $1.1 million in funding to the WhatEvery1Says (WE1S) project, which is based at UCSB and has partner institutions at California State University, Northridge, and University of Miami. The WE1S project is studying public discourse on the humanities at large data scales, and is also developing new digital humanities technical methods for pursuing such research.
