Kenia Rodriguez is a second year MA/PhD track student in English at the University of Connecticut (UConn). She earned her BA in English Literature from California State University, Northridge in May 2019. Kenia is a HSI Pathways/Mellon Student Fellow who hopes to become a professor. In May 2020, she became one of the first recipients of UConn’s Greenhouse Studios Diversity Fellowships in Digital Humanities. Her research interests include contemporary Young Adult literature, relationships between popular culture and young adult literature, gender studies, and race theory. When she is not typing away at Starbucks, Kenia likes to spend her free time outdoors with her friends and family.
