Katie Wolf

Katie Wolf is a graduate student in the English M.A. program at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She is currently a Teaching Associate for freshman writing in the English department and she is the Graduate Student Assistant for a critical thinking peer mentorship program in the Humanities department. Katie graduated summa cum laude from the Honors in English program at CSUN and earned a minor in American Indian Studies. Her field of study is twentieth and twenty-first century multiethnic American literature with a focus in American Indian Studies. Her research interests lie specifically in studying how writers of color have found a voice within America’s asymmetrical power structures and how their stories have been represented in American culture and literature since 1900. Katie is the recipient of the Thomas Matthew Magness Graduate Memorial Scholarship. She also co-organized the Politics of Participation in Popular Culture conference at CSUN and has presented her research at the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association (PAMLA) conference, as well as UCSB’s Borderlines conference – hosted by the Graduate Center for Literary Research. Katie is the president of Sigma Tau Delta Iota Chi, the CSUN chapter of the national English Honors society, and is an editor of the Waves journal, which is a CSUN publication of freshman composition.
