Nazanin “Naz” Keynejad earned her MA in English Literature with Distinction from California State University Northridge in 2016. She was a 2015-2016 recipient of the Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Fellowship. Her research project investigates the underlying mythologies of religious dogma in both the East and the West, determining how they have fed, and continue to feed, into literary exegesis and the ties between Eastern and Western traditions that foment literary and cultural acts of rebellion. Her fields of study include British literature (Early Modern through the Long Eighteenth Century), religious studies, and classical Persian literary & philosophical studies. As an advocate of digital humanities, Naz has worked with 18thConnect (Texas A&M), 4Humanities (CSUN branch), and WhatEvery1Says (CSUN & UCSB) on various projects.
