Joseph Jaffray graduated summa cum laude from CSUN’s English Subject Matter program in December 2018. He is currently a student in CSUN’s Master’s in English program where he is also a Teaching Associate, and a Writing Consultant in CSUN’s Learning Resource Center. When not engrossed in writing pedagogy, Joseph’s main areas of interest are Comics Studies, Popular Culture, and Speculative Fiction. His previous scholarship has been featured at the Comics and Visual Culture Conference in 2018 where he presented a paper on Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One. When he is not reading, or preparing for a lesson, Joseph enjoys playing tabletop games with friends.
